Know your customers.
In any endeavor to become a successful brand, you must first know who is using your services or products and why. Before you put a program in motion, you’ve got to know your customers, so you can give them tasks and rewards that will benefit you both. Offering customers things they already want will motivate them to engage in your new program right from the start.

Offer a variety of rewards.
You’ve figured out what kind of rewards will best incentivize your customers, but now you need to think about offering them in a variety of ways. The most successful programs combine three types of rewards: a sweepstakes or giveaway; digital prizes, such as social media mentions, points, or badges; and the tangible, like coffee mugs and t-shirts.

Set achievable tasks.
While there is no set rule to the amount of tasks you should offer participants, it’s important to the longevity of your program that the tasks are indeed doable. If you make them too difficult or time consuming, you’ll undoubtedly get a negative response from your audience.
